No More Windows XP

TOP del.icio.us

If you are looking to replace or upgrade any of your computers AND you do not wish to upgrade to Vista, please make sure you place an order for your Windows XP computer before June 30, 2008.

If ordering from Dell Direct, make sure you place an order before June 18th.

After June 30, 2008, all computers you order from Now IT Works, Dell or any other online provider will come standard with Windows Vista Business. Microsoft has announced an end of life policy on Windows XP.

That being said – there is a lot of ‘hub-bub’ on the Internet trying to push Microsoft to extend this deadline. Microsoft has responded to this by stating that any new computer purchased with Windows Vista Business or Ultimate editions after June 30, 2008 will have an option to purchase the Bonus package – which will mean that you will ‘purchase’ the licensed rights for Windows XP Professional as well as the media for Windows Vista so you can upgrade when you are ready.

You will be unable to purchase Windows XP Home or Media Center Edition after June 30, 2008.
