Remote Support for Your Mobile Phone?

TOP del.icio.us

When I first started in this industry, it struck me as the most amazing idea that I could take ‘remote control’ of a PC. We have built our entire business on being able to remotely support our customers at the blink of an eye. On-site support is never going to go away, but we always are able to find new ways to help our customers out remotely.

Now IT Works has many different remote support tools that we use. One of our remote support tools, Logmein Rescue, has just added the functionality to remotely support a mobile phone…

…Yeah, that’s right. YOUR PHONE. I have an AT&T 8525 that is Windows Mobile based. From my Logmein Rescue console I sent a text message to my phone and in a short while I was remotely controlling my phone. Bravo to the person who created this. I no longer have to talk end-users through setting up their email, calendar, and contacts, all while I read their particular phone’s user manual.

If you have a question about a purchase of new technology for you or your business; laptop, PC, PDA, etc, contact Now IT Works and speak to one of our knowledgeable technicians.

This is great news Ron. Thanks for sharing this – as smart phones and PDA devices are more of a common mobile computing platform, it’s good to know tech support is still available.
