Google Executives Decide to Forgo Bonuses – Again

TOP del.icio.us

With all of the disturbing news and trends about executives feeling entitled to the giant bonuses they are receiving or complaining that “they deserve it”, it’s nice to know that Google executives (Eric Schmidt, Larry Page, Sergey Brin) are keeping their $1 salaries this year and forgoing bonuses.

The interesting thing is – they’ve been doing that since 2004! No need to pity them though, each owns approximately 29 million shares each. Even with stock market values in the tank, they are still doing pretty well.

While this is more of a symbolic gesture, it’s still nice to see that some of the “big guys” are paying attention the economy and not flaunting all their riches.

Not like this guy. Wah wah.
