Google Chrome Review

Guys like me who use ‘multiple browsers’ as tools throughout any given work day start to salivate when a new browser is available to the general public – and especially from a provider like Google. I ‘googled’ all over and could not find the download on Tuesday. I was able to get it installed late last week and so far I’m impressed.

My first thought is, “Where are my bookmarks?” Every browser I’ve ever used has had a ‘bookmarks’ or ‘favorites’ drop down at the top of the screen, but not in Chrome. In Chrome, it’s all about what YOU are going to do next. After launching Chrome, it dumps you into your own personal Web Portal complete with tiled screen shots of your most visited pages, a bookmark toolbar, recent bookmarks, a history search, and most importantly, an address bar.

Remote Support for Your Mobile Phone?

When I first started in this industry, it struck me as the most amazing idea that I could take ‘remote control’ of a PC. We have built our entire business on being able to remotely support our customers at the blink of an eye. On-site support is never going to go away, but we always are able to find new ways to help our customers out remotely.

Now IT Works has many different remote support tools that we use. One of our remote support tools, Logmein Rescue, has just added the functionality to remotely support a mobile phone…

Why Blue Your Steel?

Building a small business is no easy task. Learning is an everyday process as you transform your company into an empire. Today, businesses are building their foundations upon technology. Information exchange is what binds our businesses to one another and keeps them running like well oiled machines. Building a ‘well oiled machine’ may take years, and in this day and age, certainly requires technology. It’s very difficult to run a successful business without implementing technology. Business to business relations definitely requires information exchange and not having technology integrated into your business is not going to cut it.

Implementing technology in your business can create many different points of failure that can cost you money on any given day. One of your goals should be to minimize these points of failure so that your business and employees can have 100% up time with nothing affecting your work flows.
